How QuizCraft Works

QuizCraft is a client-side only application. This means:

• All quizzes are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB
• Your quiz data never leaves your device
• We do not have access to your quizzes or quiz results
• No user accounts, no passwords, no personal data collection
• No server-side storage or databases

Data Storage

What We Don't Collect

Unlike most web applications, QuizCraft deliberately does NOT collect:

• Names, email addresses, or any personal information
• User accounts or authentication credentials
• Quiz content or quiz results
• Student answers or performance data
• IP addresses or device information
• Usage patterns or behavioral tracking

Anonymous Analytics

We use privacy-friendly Vercel Analytics to understand:

• How many people visit the site
• Which pages are most popular
• Basic performance metrics

This analytics data is completely anonymous and does not track individual users or collect any personal information. No cookies are used for tracking.

Sharing Quizzes

When you share a quiz using QuizCraft's sharing feature:

• The quiz data is encoded in the URL you share
• No data is sent to our servers
• The recipient receives the quiz data directly from the URL
• You control what you share

Your Data Rights

Since we don't collect or store your data on our servers, you have complete control:

• Export: Download your quiz data as JSON files
• Delete: Clear all data from your browser at any time
• Transfer: Move your data to another device via export/import
• No Lock-in: Your data is in standard JSON format

Third-Party Services

QuizCraft uses the following third-party services:

• Vercel (Hosting): Static site hosting, no data collection
• Vercel Analytics: Privacy-friendly, anonymous analytics

We do not use third-party advertising, tracking, or social media pixels.

Children's Privacy

QuizCraft does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any users. The application is designed to be privacy-safe for all ages, including students under 13. No registration or personal information is required to use QuizCraft.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Since QuizCraft operates entirely client-side, our commitment to privacy is unlikely to change.
